

If anyone is still thinking why I had the stock intake on there anyway, well I tried leaving scaling stock to have OEM load response AND FIND the PROPER injectors settings. Could BIG fuel pump duty cause this richness? This is the sure thing im going to try manipule. The car is smooth as butter, with all 0 on the MP load comps. This was part of my plan for 08 hesitation fix. I have a feeling Im going to have to tune scalar and latency for my deatchwerks 300 pump, and military grade custom fuel system with parrallel lines, return all equal lenght through a fuellab regulator at 45pso currently.

(idles 11.2 when FFB 14.7), pulls towards 9 when doint a pull. Im about to go out and do injectrors AS SASHA_A80 recommended. This is all based on 10 miles driving home. I think this implies that tuning injectors shouldn't ALWAYS be done on OEM intake. Proper, simple boost control is worth the investment. if you're oem hoses are still neat, dont mess with them IMHO. That said, those who have PROPER STI's should have ATLEAST a proper FILTER ELELENT. I guess the panel construction and the turbulence in the bottom corner of the OEM intake box. Im afraid to say but exotic compressor covers and highflow stainless intakes are nothing without a proper filter element. NOW 76mm HOUSING with MAF multiplied by 1.175. (-4'C)!!! I just popped the hacked OEM off, and installed another KN, 4" cone. The OEM intake was fed without the silencer (2 entries), fed pure cold air in the fender WITH ramair effect and was assembled to a great 3" intake tube to rotated gtx twinscroll turbo. The environment was absolutely identical, AFRS in the 10.4-9.9.

GAINS Across the entire butt dyno, throttle response, maf stability, everthing. I couldn't believe the change to a simple KN 4". There's a huge restiction on the NEW 70mm OEM intake WITH NEW KN FILTER. Theres one REALLY important OBSERVATION I FOUND. How do I clear the misfire ones btw? learningview doesn't work for these codes i think. But the codes for tgv/airpump/charcoalcanister all disabled. I pulled the codes, misfires 2+4 thats it. I use the official MAP scaling for OMNI 4BAR and my boost targets at 0.2 PSI EXACT AT 32psi absolute. Learning view says the atmospheric pressure is 21psi, even thought its only 14.5 psi now. I have then ditcheded those settings entirely, and set the INJECTOR SCALE to 1450CC. Measured AFRS (verified with 2 widebands in parrallel because i could believe It could be so rich) are 9.5AFR starting from 2.7 MAF AND UP. I have tried setting scale to 1167 and then adjusting latency, managed to get it exactly 12.2 on initial start up (FINAL FUEL BASE 12.25) and then once the Front 02 comes on, idles 14.6 (14.7 FINAL FUELING BASE). *STOCK 08 STI MAF SCALING AND INTAKE BOX MOUNTED TO 3"intake and 4" GTX3076R 1.06 T4.* GONEĬar idles at 1.22-1.28 MAF V.
